'Gears of War 4' Latest News & Update: Known Bugs; Workaround to Fix Hitching Issues
"Gears of War 4" developer The Coalition is updating daily its forum thread dedicated to gamers who experienced problems with the game.
Although widely regarded as Microsoft's pet project, "Gears of War 4" teems with bugs and problems. Although on the positive note, The Coalition is active in gathering these complaints and quick in posting workarounds and solutions. What was supposed to be a forum to exchange game strategies and walkthroughs quickly morphed into a full-pledged costumer care service. Nonetheless, The Coalition is happy to respond to gamers.
One of the notorious problem plaguing "Gears of War 4" is hitching issue. Most of the complaints traced the frequent occurrence of hitching at early stages of co-op gameplay or during long gaming sessions. Not only this game but of course, hitching or stuttering graphics is a common problem in video games. AnandTech forum traced this as result of driver issues and not really due to video card overclocking.
To solve this problem, gamers can choose between a temporary solution to worst scenario options. Windows Report said that temporary workaround includes opening four other Xbox title and "juggle" the console with multiple loads. After allowing these four other games to load past the splash screen, then it is time to load "Gears of War 4." On worst case, the gamer can uninstall and reinstall the game.
Of course both options can temporarily fix "Gears of War 4" hitching problems but at a cost. Remember that to successfully execute the first fix, console players need at least 4 other games installed first. The second option is stressful and time-consuming. At any rate, The Coalition assures that they are readying an update that will permanently fix hitching and will launch it soon.
Although "Gears of War 4" update doesn't have any tentative schedule yet, gamers expect that it will arrive within a week or so. Part of the anticipated changes are Credits, Dodgeball and Gear Packs.
