'Bioshock: Infinite' Extended Gameplay Shows Off Handyman Enemy, Dark Setting

"Bioshock: Infinte's" lead combat designer, Andres Gonzolas, takes us through some late game footage of Irrational Game's hotly-anticipated sequel.  The nearly-six minute long gameplay video shows off plenty of new elements to the game, while giving players a better look at previously seen vigor Murdor of Crows and various weaponry. Vigors are "Bioschok Infinite's" version of the original games' tonics, though this time around they each have a "dual functionality," as Gonzolas puts it. A fire-based vigor can both lob projectiles and set traps, for example.

Gonzolas also takes us through a decidedly darker scene than in any other footage put out to day. Columbia, "Bioshock: Infinite's" floating city and primary setting, seems to be floating directly through a storm cloud. Even better, Booker takes on the brutish Handyman enemy at the three and a half minute mark. The big guy has a very Big Daddy kind of presence, requiring the player's full attention whenever he's there.

"Bioshock Infinite" is releasing on March 26 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
