The Apple's upcoming iPad Mini 5 is probably one of the most talked about devices in the tech world today. The iPad Mini 4 is a very successful device that is why fans are very excited to see its new version.

A lot of fans hoped iPad Mini 5 the device will be launched last September event together with Apple's latest smartphones but the device was a no show. Now, fans are hoping that it will be released this coming October event. Fans are also speculating that the device will be launched alongside with the new iPad Pro 2.

According to a report from MacWorld, fans might see a major overhaul in the upcoming iPad Mini 5. The device is also expected to be thinner and lighter compared to its previous models. But, some reports also say that Apple might skip the iPad Mini 5 and abandon the line altogether.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted some of the plans the company might do to their tablet department. A report in MacRumors also states that Apple put a halt to the iPad Mini production after the iPhone models decreased the demand for the tablet. In short, consumers tend to chose Apple smartphones rather than the tablets.

The iPad Mini is not the only device that might be killed off as Apple might also stop the iPad Air productions as well after the launching of the next iPad Pro generation. Despite these rumors, some also say that the iPad Mini 5 might also be launched on March 2017 together with the iPad Pro 2 and the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro in addition to the 9.7-inch "low-cost" iPad.
