LG Nexus 5 Specs Leaked: A High-End Device With 4K Ultra HD Video In The Making? [RUMOR]

Further solidifying the rumors doing the rounds about a possible successor to popular Nexus 4 smartphone, a new leak reveals that LG is apparently working on the next-generation Nexus phone for Google, codenamed LG Megalodon. Nexus 5 will reportedly boast a 5.2-inch OLED display with a 1080p full HD resolution.

According to the leak at Android and Me, the smartphone will debut towards the end of the year in Oct. 2013 which may clash with the next-generation iPhone launch.

"An anonymous source, who claims to work for Google, tells us this prototype is the real deal, but we are not sure what to make of it. There is a good chance that some basement dweller is trolling us hard, but this person has an interesting story so we thought it needed to be shared," the report says.

Google is rumored to be evaluating several prototypes from different manufactures and the one in question is the prototype made by LG. The prototype bears the Nexus design with a much curvier base and a thin bezel. The specifications listed out by the tipster points towards a high-end device featuring a 5.2-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The smartphone will come with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. As Gotta Be Mobile notes, this specs sheet suggests that LG's Nexus would be among the first to feature Ultra HD 4K video recording. "With 4K video recording, you're going to get four times the resolution of regular HD videos, though you'll need a 4K display, monitor, or TV to take advantage of the extra video pixels," the report says.

Other specifications include a 3GB LPDDR3 RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera,  2.1-megapixel front shooter supporting full-HD video recording at 30 frames per second, front positioned stereo speakers and a mighty 3300mAh battery.
