'Aliens: Colonial Marines' For PC Updated: Major AI Overhaul, Additional 4GB And More [UPDATE]

"Aliens: Colonial Marines" was a massive disappointmet, to say the least. One reason is fans of the movie were hoping the game would actually compliment the movie, and would be as good (if not better).

However, while that never happened, it seems like the game's developer Gearbox is not going gently into that good night will keep supporting it with updates. The PC version of the game just received a brand new update, weighing in at a staggering 4GB.

Currently 4GB (3.8GB, to be precise) update consists of a number of fixes alongside a much needed AI overhaul. The company writes: “Steam will automatically download and apply the latest Aliens: Colonial Marines updates. To ensure you have the latest update, simply restart Steam. All updates are cumulative; you only need to install the most recent version to receive all updates.”

Interestingly, the patch is actually so huge that it’s half the size of the original installation of “Aliens: Colonial Marines.”

A number of issues have also been addressed along with the addition of new features. Two items stand out: ‘Various visual improvements’ and ‘Improved texture resolution.’

There have been complaints about how the AI for “Aliens: Colonial Marines” was full of glitches, and now Gearbox has issuing fixes like “Tweaked enemy and friendly AI to be more aggressive and responsive” and “Modified campaign difficulty to account for improved AI responsiveness.”

Other changes include fixing weapon ammunition which was not always highlighted properly, a fixing co-op player revival and the addition of a new Xeno customization, and more.
