MacBook fans have been eagerly awaiting for updates about the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. Latest news teased of Apple's plans for the two units and its expected release date.
Several reports have hinted of the enhancements that Apple may introduce for its new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air devices. However, a new report from the Japanese site Macotakara, as cited by The Verge, enumerated a few features that it claimed have been added to the new MacBook Pro.
Thunderbolt 3 ports and a USB Type-C are just some of the changes that developers made for the new MacBook Pro. Similar to Apple's 12-inch MacBook, the Cupertino-based company also removed its MagSafe power connectors, as well as the unit's traditional USD ports.
Apple's "Dynamic Function Row" feature is also set to add a touchscreen OLED strip to the new MacBook Pro device. With the said feature, users will soon enjoy dynamic keys for specific applications as it replaces the unit's original function keys.
Apart from the dynamic function keys and new ports, the new MacBook Pro will reportedly be slimmer than its predecessors. Unlike other versions, the upcoming unit also includes a flatter keyboard that contributed to its sleek new look.
The same report also highlighted Apple's plans to launch the new MacBook Pro in an event scheduled towards the end of October. Aside from the said device, tech fans can also look forward to a product presentation that includes the new MacBook Air laptop unit.
Meanwhile, a source told Recode that the Apple event is expected to happen on Oct. 27, Thursday. The planned Apple presentation will reportedly be held at the company's Cupertino campus or at another venue near the said location.
