‘Tomb Raider's’ Top Five Ways To Die

“Tomb Raider” is one of the biggest games of the first quarter of 2013. The campaign and weapons are amazing.

However, I usually play games on the normal difficulty because it suits my playstyle. I like to think of myself as being able to handle normal difficulty, but I did manage to die quite a few times throughout the campaign. I chalk it up unfair difficulty spikes.

There are a number of ways to die in the game. Here are the top five ways to die in “Tomb Raider”:

Playing With Land Mines: While there is a huge chance that you will never encounter this kind of death, because jumping on a landmine is foolish.

I was curious what would happen if I did jump on a landmine: was it live or not? Trust me, they're live.

Meat For Wolves: The atmosphere of the island is lethal. Once, Lara got her neck ripped out by by a wolf while she was trying to find her friends.

Things happened so fast I couldn’t get to the defend button fast enough.

Crushed By Rocks:  When you're escaping a cave via a tunnel in the middle of it falling apart, and you’re just about get out of it all, some hairy psychopath will take hold of one of your legs and insist you not leave.

As you fight for your life there’s huge rock falling from above and crushing both of your feet. At this point you are already a goner as the first rock will be followed by another huge rock coming down on your head. Not a good way to die, period.

Crushed By Machinery: Another unlikely, yet nasty, way to go. While sliding down a hill a rotor from what appeared to be a jet came screaming at me.

Weirdly, I’ve gone down the same hill a number of times, and never seen it again.

Electrocuted: Remember the level where Lara has to go through a tunnel filled with water and live wires hanging in her face?  This level will electrocute you in an instant. No warnings, no nothing.
