PAX East 2013: 'XCOM: Enemy Unknown' Coming To iOS

"XCOM: Enemy Unknown,' the turn-based shooter from Firaxis Games, is coming to iOS, the company said at its PAX East panel. This will be a full port of the PC and console version, not a new game.

"It is a straight port. We have not made any gameplay exceptions," XCOM: Enemy Unknown Lead Designer Jake Solomon tells Joystiq. "You play the exact same game [as on PC or consoles], it's just now fully playable on an iPhone or an iPad."

"XCOM" won several game of the year awards last year. It will be out this summer, Joystiq reports, and will be "premium" priced. Most likely, that means it will cost more than 99 cents and less than $20 dollars. Here's a video of Solomon showing off how the game will play.
