Tekken fans rejoice! The ruggedly suave Spanish bull-fighting conquistador Miguel Caballero Rojo will be making his grand return to the King of Iron Fist Tournament in "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution."

According to Forbes, Miguel will be joining the playable roster in the upcoming console ports of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution." Making his recent debut in the previous installment of the Tekken franchise, "Tekken 6," Miguel has become a fan favorite in the Tekken Community. The Spanish-born sensation has gained recognition among players for his brawling combat style, his thrill-seeking demeanor, and his irresistible sense of cool.

The latest installment of the Tekken franchise looks to be shaping up quite nicely by adding Rojo into the fold. The arcade version of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" has been out for a while now and it should appease fans to know that the console port is not being strongly downgraded.

In a more recent development, rumors have been swirling around the gaming community speculating whether the console ports for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will offer cross-platform play to its home-based players. The introduction of cross-platform play to the popular fighting series will give players the opportunity to battle opponents across consoles -- i.e. a PS4 owner playing against an Xbox One owner online.

However, there seems to be no official confirmation for this development. As per PC Gamer, the game director for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution," Katsuhiro Harada, has stated that the implantation of cross platform play is highly unlikely to happen. "It's not a matter of the technology for getting the PS4/XB1/PC players to match up against each other being the issue," he stated.

"But rather first party company policies and potential security risks alongside the community perceived reputation of PC gamers being cheaters that is hindering the decision to allow cross platform play," Harada continued. "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is slated to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC come early 2017.
