Epic's Unreal Engine 4 In Action In 'Infiltrator'

Epic put together about three and a half minutes of Unreal Engine 4 footage to show off at GDC this week. That footage then dutifully leaked onto the internet. Entitled "Infiltrator," the cutscene-like footage seems to be a mix between "Blade Runner" and "Metal Gear Solid," showing some sort of futuristic stealth agent infiltrating a military industrial compound, though not very well in the end.

While impressive, it's worth noting the footage doesn't actually show anything resembling gameplay, rather it looks like something a game might flash at you before the title screen pops up. "Infiltrator" may not even be a game. Epic hasn't announced a new IP since the Unreal Engine 4-powered "Fortnite" for PC.

Sony's Playstation 4 is bound for release sometime this holiday season and should run the Unreal Engine 4 quite well, though PCs are pretty much already there.
