We recently got a peep at some more screens of Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto 5," which were stunning to say the least. So stunning in fact, that the idea was introduced that they were from the next generation of consoles.
Rockstar confirmed that this is not the case, and that the recent screenshots are indeed from this generation. The company saw fit to let people know on their newswire where the pictures were posted, saying, "To @icharyd and others who are asking, these screens are from the current generation of consoles."
Rockstar still has yet to mention if they're working on a next-gen version of the upcoming "GTA" as so many speculate, but they've been keeping their lips tightly sealed. It's a similar case with a PC version, which still has a strong petition going.
