'Hunter x Hunter' Home Media Sets To Be Available Today, Oct 25

Viz Media, the animation studio behind the anime hit "Hunter x Hunter", has announced the official release of the anime's season one home media set today, October 25.

In a statement, Charlene Ingram, Viz Media' Senior Marketing Manager, said the home media set for "Hunter x Hunter" will come in Standard Edition Blu-ray and Standard Edition DVD sets, which contain the first quarter of the entire season 1.

Each version contains 13 uncut episodes of the anime with many never-before-seen extras. It also has uncut English dubbed with the Japanese subtitled dialogue options are available on both formats, the Viz Media official statement reads.

The "Hunter x Hunter" home media set 1 Standard Edition Blu-ray will be exclusively available at Best Buy in the U.S. The MSRP was pegged at $54.97 U.S. for the Standard Edition Blu-ray; $39.99 for the Standard Edition DVD; and $63.38 for the Steelbook Edition.

"Hunter x Hunter' combines vivid animation, strongly developed characters and an action-driven storyline that captivates audiences from the very first episode. The series has thrilled fans across North America on Toonami and we are very excited to now announce the home media release. Catch all the fun and action this October!" Ingram said in the statement.

The manga-turned-anima "Hunter x Hunter" talks about the story of special breed of hunters that track down treasures, magical beasts, and even other people. But one must pass the rigorous test in order to get the license to be a hunter.

Written and illustrated by "Hunter x Hunter", the story centers on the journey of the main character, Gon, toward getting his license. Gon also met several friends and foes along his journey in becoming a licensed hunter.
