Fans are now questioning whether the OnePlus 4 release date will happen at all or delayed as rumors continue to circulate that there will be a roll out of an iteration of the OnePlus 3. So instead of working on the next flagship device in 2017, the manufacturer will focus more first on the so called OnePlus 3T, which is a turbo version of its most up-to-date model.

According to Phone Radar, the follow up device to the OnePlus 3 is not necessary to be the OnePlus 4. But instead, OnePlus may more likely to release an upgraded version of the the OnePlus 3, which was labeled as either OnePlus 3S or OnePlus 3 Plus before. Basically, what will be revealed soon is the boosted version of the current flagship phone of OnePlus.

Moreover, Phone Radar is also certain that the new handset will be unboxed and called as the OnePlus 3T. Apart from that, it is also possible that work on the device has been wrapped up because of the leaked phone that hit the most popular microblogging website, Weibo. The site mentioned a newly certified OnePlus phone with A3010 model number. Also, the same post seems to imply that unboxing schedule is happening very soon, Pocket-Lint reported.

Meanwhile, the turbo version of the OnePlus 3 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC with 2.4GHz top speed, faster than the 2.1GHz of its predecessor, SD 820.
