‘Civilization VI’ Release Date, News & Update : System Requirements & How to Get Multiplayer Features In-Game

"Civilization VI" came out on Steam last Oct. 21 and is now available for purchase. There are several editions of the game found on the website that also gave details of the game's system requirements. In addition, Reddit users also found a way to enable the team multiplayer setting manually on the PC.

"Civilization VI" has been spotted on the official website with a standard edition worth $59.99, a digital deluxe edition with bonuses worth $79.99 and an $89.99 25th anniversary edition with bonus digital content. "Civilization VI" is said to require a Windows OS of at least a Windows 7 64 bit. Moreover, the computer should be running on at least an Intel Core i3 2.5 GHz or an AMD Phenom II 2.6 GHz. The PC should also have at least 4GB RAM, 12GB of free internal space and at least a NVIDIA 450 graphics card, according to report.

"Civilization VI" has single single player as well as multiplayer features among online gamers. In this installment, players may gain steam achievements as well as a slew of Steam trading cards. The game further supports Steam Workshop to be used for mods.

"Civilization VI" also has new methods of engaging custom-made world maps. The custom cities may now physically expand across the map while previously it only used a single tile. In addition, the AI competing leaders will also be moving based on their traits from history towards victory.

In other news, the "Civilization VI" team multiplayer mode is said to be switched on with a quick file edit. Rumor has it that the current version of the game lacks a team multiplayer. However, Reddit users were quick to note that a team multiplayer code may be found in-game but had been switched off. In addition, an advisory was also spotted noting that team pull down have been disabled until the release of the day 0 patch, PCGamesN reported.

The "Civilization VI" day 0 patch, however recently rolled out without enabling pulldowns. Several Reddit users claim that the team multiplayer may be switched on manually by changing one line in the Staging Room.lua located in the "Civilization VI" folder on the PC. The edit is also said to solve earlier "Civilization VI problems with faster appearance of the tooltips bar and using a custom window resolution.
