Actor Jack O'Connell as Alexander McQueen in a Biopic Film; Details of the Upcoming Movie.

Creating a pattern, outlining and sewing - these are just one of the few works of fashion designers. Not to mention the sleepless nights that they have to brave just to finish their creations with pride.

World renowned fashion designer Alexander Mcqueen was notorious with his creations through which he earned a big name in fashion industry. His love for fashion brought him into the limelight.

Alexander Mcqueen had been a prominent fashion designer and to honour his works, director Andrew Haigh is creating a biopic film to celebrate his life and legacy. Actor Jack O'Connell is set to play the role of the fashion designer.

Director Andrew Haigh is best known for his film "45 Years". The distribution of the film in the United Kingdom, France and Switzerland will be handled by Pathe as well as the sales in the rest of the world, Variety reports.

A statement from Pathe reads, "In 2009, Alexander McQueen put on one of his greatest shows - a stunningly beautiful re-working of his greatest designs from the past 15 years. It was a show that he dedicated to his mother and one in which he tried to make sense of his life and art. The film explores McQueen's creative process in the months leading up to the show, providing an intimate portrait of the man behind the global brand - a moving celebration of a visionary genius whose designs transcended fashion to become art."

Jack O'Connell, who will be playing McQueen is the film, is a 26-year-old English actor who had his first major role in the movie "Unbroken" in 2014 for which he was awarded the BAFTA Rising Star Award. He also starred in the 2016 film "Money Monster" with George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

Award-winning Chris Urch will pen the script. He is known for his playwright of "The Rolling Stone" and "Land of Our Fathers." The movie's principal photography is produced by Damian Jones at DJ Films which starts next spring and is the film is expected for release at the end of 2017.

Lee Alexander McQueen, CBE (Order of the British Empire), was a British fashion designer and couturier. He earned four British Designer of the Year awards for his achievements in fashion and in 2003, he was the CFDA's International Designer of the Year. He was openly gay.

In 2010, Mcqueen used his "favourite brown belt" to commit suicide. He left a note saying, "Look after my dogs, sorry, I love you, Lee." A friend of his said that Mcqueen "was doing a lot of drugs and was very unhappy." He died nine days after his mother died from cancer. He was 40 years old.
