'Mortal Kombat X' Latest News & Updates: Third Pack Still Uncertain, Polls Reveal Fans' Demand; Is NetherRealm Holding Back?

"Mortal Kombat X" already has fans in the palm of their hands after the many admirable feats they gave to date. That being said, very little is known about what is to come next -- except for the teases that have continued to plague the web.

Recently, fans have been debating on the remaining characters that many believe deserve to be included in the mix of "Mortal Kombat X." So many ideas have been laid out in the open that NetherRealm themselves may have found the need to hold polls and even tease on what could come next for the game, especially with the Kombat Pack 3 already being talked about.

According to Touch Arcade, "Mortal Kombat X" has already made the monster Jason Voorhees character available for a limited time, but only for the mobile application. It can be unlocked after a heap of souls and luck befall the gamers, as well as Kitana being a limited challenge mode event exclusive. With such conditions, it is almost apparent that NetherRealm Studios has been holding back on the feats for the main game itself.

Ed Boon went to his Twitter account and raised a survey on which players would want more; with the choices being "Shaolin Monks 3," "Mortal Kombat 11" or Kombat Pack 3. With the honest responses of many, the Kombat Pack 3 became the most dominant answer, but Boon has not disclosed who will be in such, let alone if there will be one anytime soon.

As for the most popular choices, players have suggested the likes of Rain, Fujin, Sindel, Noob Saibot and the ever-popular Baraka. Being one of the most recognizable characters in the game, most notably for the blades protruding from his forearms, Baraka is said to be an entry that could be beneficial to the franchise once again. Due to his story and unique style, players cannot argue with the fame that the character has garnered through the years and could come as no surprise if he gets included in the next update for "Mortal Kombat X."

No release announcement has been made regarding the Kombat Pack 3, as NetherRealm Studios is said to be currently booked with existing projects such as "Injustice 2" for one. Fingers are to stay crossed for the time being until the company decides to reveal more about "Mortal Kombat X" soon enough.
