WWE 2016 Latest News & Update: Bobby Lashley Wants To Be ‘Next’ For Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is on course to face Bill Goldberg at WWE Survivor Series with his next match still uncertain. A rematch could happen if the one-match deal doesn’t hold up but just in case, Bobby Lashley has hinted interest in possibly facing the “Beast Incarnate”.

Bobby Lashley isn’t exactly the guy who is as popular as Goldberg but he does bring something interesting to the table. Aside from being a wrestler, is perhaps the only other guy to make a successive cross to the mixed martial arts scene which could spur a “Battle of the Beasts”.

Lashley was recently interviewed by TMZ and the TNA champion is open to a possible match with Lesnar. Though he is 40, the fact that he has some MMA experience could prove to be an interesting match where Lesnar may not entirely dominate.

As witnessed at SummerSlam 2016, Lesnar went ballistic and used his mixed-martial arts experience to bloody Randy Orton. To this day there has been no explanation given on whether that fracas was intentional or off-script, Complex reported.

Goldberg could be in for a similar beating. He is 49 and has been out of the wrestling scene for the last 12 years compared to a conditioned Lesnar. The odds could be different if it was a battle of MMA fighters even if Lashley is already 40-years-old.

Before letting the imagination of WWE or UFC fans go wild, there is the issue of the protagonist's contracts. Lesnar is signed up with the WWE while Lashley is hooked up with TNA. As most know, TNA is currently undergoing financial troubles and the WWE could eventually be the new owner.

If it turns out that way, a Lashley vs. Lesnar could eventually happen and possibly be a big draw. Unfortunately, all the WWE is interested right now is the TNA library so it will be interesting if it moves up to include the stars of the show.
