'Draw Something' Coming To UK TV

Remember when "Draw Something" was a thing?

After the "Pictionary" like iOS game from developer OMGPOP racked up 35 million downloads six weeks after its release last March, social game maker Zynga swooped in and bought the developer for around $200 million. Users promptly, and loudly, left the game in droves.

Zynga sold a televsion version of the game to CBS, according to Variety, last June that was to be executive produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions. While there has been no further word on the US version, a version just sold to Sony Pictures Television that will be broadcast on Channel 4, a UK television channel. The UK version will be boldly called "Draw It," and will be produced by Victory Television

According to Eurogamer.net, "Each team will be made up of a contestant and a celebrity. Together, they must try and earn gold coins in exchange for real-world cash.

A final round will see the remaining competitor team up with both celebrities to identify at least five of their pictures correctly. If unsuccessful, the prize fund will roll over to the next show."

We'll let you know if either version ever airs.
