'Grand Theft Auto V' Latest News & Update: Rockstar Games Banning Cheaters; 'GTA 6' Delayed Until 2020?
"Grand Theft Auto" developers, Rockstar Games are not tolerating game cheaters anymore and to make the environment fair. The players of the "Grand Theft Auto V" found their bank accounts reset back to zero after exploiting to break the game's digital economy.
According to Playstation Lifestyle, Rockstar Games has new set of standers for online play. The developers said that all first-time offenders will get a temporary suspension and a character wipe from playing "Grand Theft Auto V". If players won't be able to change their ways after the sanctions given to them by the developer, "Grand Theft Auto V" players might be permanently banned after a second offense.
Rockstar Games made an official statement on their website regarding the cheaters of "Grand Theft Auto V". The "Grand Theft Auto V" developers pointed out to players that exploiting and abusing the game mechanics, manipulating protected game data and code, or interfering with other players' gameplay experience will be suspended or banned.
For instance, if a player is suspended, they will not be able to access "Grand Theft Auto V" online. The suspension's expiration date will be shown on their splash screen after being returned to Story Mode following an attempt to play "GTA" Online.
Meanwhile, "Grand Theft Auto 6" will be possibly delayed until 2020. A report by Neurogadget said that the delay is mainly because of financial constraints related to the new feature. Rockstar Games would like to include VR or AR support to the game.
This is the first time that the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise has been delayed in its five-year release cycle. Rockstar North president Lesie Benzies said that "they've got 45 years worth of ideas we want to do."
