“Resident Evil: Revelations” on Steam will get a season pass.  Developer Capcom is planning at least four “Resident Evil: Revelations” DLC packs that will be part of a season pass for the HD remake of the game.

The season pass is basically one of the numbers of rewards that reveal themselves as more and more people pre-purchase the game on Steam. The first reward, for example, is already unlocked and includes an art book and soundtrack. The second is “Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions,” with the season pass being the third.

The information was revealed via a new Steam listing (first noticed by CVG) for the game, and it reads: “Fight the fear with more weapons and more characters! Expand your RAID mode experience with the Resident Evil Revelations Season Pass which includes 4 pieces of additional content. *Content will be revealed and available shortly after the game's release.”

Although not much is known currently about the specifics, it will be quite disappointing if the DLC only adds to the Raid mode, rather than offering some additional chapters to the main in-game storyline. Also there’s no word if the Season Pass content will be available to other platforms in addition to the Steam version.

“Resident Evil: Revelations” is set for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC release on May 21, and will feature HD visuals, improved lighting effects and upgraded audio.
