‘Destiny 2’ Release Date, Gameplay, News & Update: PC Version Confirmed for 2017; New Gameplay Details Revealed? More Details Here

Bungie may have already confirmed "Destiny 2" to arrive in 2017 but not much is known about the hotly anticipated sequel in the first-person shooter game series. The final DLC for "Destiny," "Rise of Iron," has just been released but fans are already thirsting for more information about the sequel.

According to Trusted Reviews, "Destiny 2" is expected to be an amplified version of the original game, introducing new weapons, mechanics and abilities to players. The game is also rumored to finally arrive on PC, according to sources who are familiar with game publisher Activision. "Destiny" has been a console-exclusive title but this could change with the arrival of the sequel.

As mentioned in a report from Kotaku last month, NeoGAF user benny_a revealed that his friend from Activision had shared that "Destiny 2" will also be a PC title. In addition, game studio Vicarious Visions is involved with the project. This would be a great step for Bungie-Activision since releasing the game in a new platform would mean that there will be a new target audience.

Meanwhile, there are several things that players would hope to see in the new sequel. According to Trusted Reviews, "Destiny 2" should have a better single player experience compared to the current game. The report mentioned that "Destiny's" single player mode feels generic and underwhelming that it gets old rather quickly. It would be great for Bungie to improve on the game mode. In addition to an improved single player mode, the game should have more variety in gameplay, as well as customization options and weapons.

MobiPicker, on the other hand, predicts that "Destiny 2" will no longer have skill-based matchmaking, as this can be burdensome for players who are geographically far from each other. Horde activities should also be an option and that they shouldn't be a major focus of the sequel.

For now, fans should continue waiting for more updates on the development of "Destiny 2." Stay tuned to GamenGuide for the latest.
