'Call of Duty World League' Begins Live Event Dec. 16-18; $100K Prize Up for Grabs

Call of Duty World League is reported to begin its first live event from Dec. 16 up to 18 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas featuring "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare".  Different teams across the US are expected to compete for the chance to bring home the first event title, including the $100,000 prize pool.

During the inaugural season, the Call of Duty World League presented over 1,000 teams competing, with 32 top teams across the globe heading to the World Championship. With the upcoming release of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare", a new and exciting year of competition is expected as teams throughout the world compete for the ultimate price - to be crowned as CWL champion.

Activision expressed their gratitude by acknowledging their partners and the Call of Duty community for the massive success of the initial season of the game.  The event is reported to be shown around the globe through in-game on Twitch, YouTube, MLG.TV and on the Life Event Viewer.

Call of Duty World League reportedly partners with the Major League Gaming. With the use of MLG's live streaming technology and capabilities, the fans are expected to watch the Infinite Warfare eSports action on MLG.TB as well as in-game through the Life Event viewer, Business Wire reported.

Meanwhile, another Infinite Warfare beta on PS4 has reportedly made open to the public. The final-stage beta is believed to be a complete test of the game's online and server functionality.  Based on reports, what the fans saw in the beta in terms of raw graphics and gameplay are also likely to be experienced on Nov. 4.

The first two days of Infinite Warfare's beta were met with the matchmaking and server issues that led to about 24 hours of extension. However, the gunplay is still polished and refined like what most fans of the Call of Duty franchise expected. In terms of movements and shooting mechanics, no changes were observed from last year's "Black Ops III", Forbes reported.  Watch video about Call of Duty World League Championship Grand Final
