Ronda Rousey's Return To The Octagon- Will Retire Soon?

After taking a time out for over a year, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Ronda Rousey is set to return to the Octagon for UFC 207 on December 30 in Las Vegas. Rousey is ready to make her comeback but the former champ says that this will be one of her last if not her last fight as she contemplates on retirement.

Ronda Rousey, the 29-year-old Mix Martial Arts (MMA) fighter discussed her upcoming UFC return last Tuesday, as she made an appearance on the Ellen show. She reveals that as she suits up for her return after over a year of absence, she is also bracing herself for retirement.

Ronda Rousey also shared her preparation and training regimen for her upcoming fight against current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes. This will be Rhonda's first fight since that heartbreaking loss to Holly Holm in Melbourne, Australia last November.

Ronda Rousey stated that she is feeling good, training twice a day as her camp began her training since August. Ronda describes her fight preparations "Super Ninja Mode" as it includes running, jumping and climbing trees.

Ronda Rousey admits of attempting suicide after her stunning loss to Holm. Fortunately for Rousey, her boyfriend and fellow Octagon fighter Travis Browne was with her during those hard times keeping her spirits up. Furthermore, when talking about her heartbreaking defeat to Holly Holm, she says she was so humiliated as she describes herself as the modern day equivalent of laying your coat down over a puddle.

Ronda Rousey during the interview was quoted saying I am "wrapping this up" in response to Ellen's question on how long will Ronda continue to fight. Rousey has yet to give a concrete explanation with regards to her statement but, retirement is definitely not far from her mind.
