‘Pokemon GO’ Latest News & Update: Niantic Plans Grander Christmas Event With Generation 2, Mew, MewTwo, Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno Debut! More Details

It seems that "Pokemon GO" resurrected from the dead with its first in game event. "Pokemon GO" Halloween is Niantic's first effort to bring a real life event into the "Pokemon GO."

'Pokemon GO' Halloween

From October 26 to November 1, "Pokemon GO" had its Halloween event on full effect. With increased Ghost and Psychic spawns to doubled amount of candies from hatching, transferring, and catching Pokemon, players of the game have totally enjoyed the said event.

It was a breath of fresh air for "Pokemon GO" who has been playing "Pokemon GO" since July and for those who have left the game claiming it to be repetitive. Also, not only did the spawns and candies doubled up but "Pokemon GO's" revenue as well.

Increased Revenue Could Lead to More 'Pokemon GO' Events?

From October 18 to 22, "Pokemon GO" reported revenue was at $10 million according to Sensor Tower's data. However, when the "Pokemon GO" event started, it turned out to be a sweet surprise for Niantic as "Pokemon GO's" revenue soared up 2.3 times the normal amount.

From October 25 to 29 "Pokemon GO" tallied $23.3 million. This increase in revenue is an incredible feat for Niantic as the "Pokemon GO" developer company didn't need to exert much effort to tweak its product to gain further result from its "Pokemon GO" fanbase.

As reported by TechCrunch, "Simply tweaking the reward payout was enough to amp up revenue generation, which means it's almost guaranteed that we'll see similar future events timed for holidays and other windows of opportunity."
