‘Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’ Latest News & Update: How To Migrate Saved Games From First Version

After its official release last Oct. 25, “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” has likely got a lot of players engaged in the new installment. While that should be lush, it remains that there are some wishing that their old saved data could be migrated so as not to put them to waste.

Bandai Namco seems to be aware of the concern and it turns out that there is actually a way to migrate saved games from the previous version of “Dragon Ball Xenoverse” as detailed via their official website. The migration covers versions for the PlayStation, PC, and Xbox.

The process of transferring saved games to “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” is easier for the ones who were able to play it on the PS4, Steam and Xbox One. The saved data will likely be still available in the cloud so migrating it should be easy as long as the accounts in use for the respective game consoles are the same, per reports.

“Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” players who played the previous version on the PS3 and/or Xbox 360 will have to do something extra. They need to update the game first and use the new option from the game menu. Once loaded, all players have to do is launch the actual game where they will be asked if they want to use the Xenoverse saved data.

While the migration process for saved games to “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” seems like a piece of cake, there will be some restrictions. That includes importing only one character per player before embarking on gameplay. Once a player starts the game with the selected character, other previous data can no longer be transferred.

Aside from the lone character, players can also bring five costume items to “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” and some skills. This includes four ‘Super Attacks’, two ‘Ultimate Attacks’, and an ‘Evasive’. It should be noted that In-Battle items cannot be transferred to the latest game version.
