News of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 has been circulating for some time. Recently, new leaked images and specifications of the upcoming smartphone surfaced online, hinting that the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be much better than its predecessor, the Redmi 3S.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Specs: 5" LCD With Helio P10 Processor?
Gadgets 360 revealed that initial details about the Xiaomi Redmi 4 showed that the device will feature a 5-inch LCD screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
Other rumors suggest that the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will run on the Helio P10 processor. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 will reportedly be housed in a full metal body. It may have a capacitive button at the front, and the power and volume buttons on its right side.
The new device is said to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front shooter. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 may also run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and backed by a 4000mAh or 4100mAh battery.
In terms of dimensions, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 is expected to measure 141.3 x 69.6 x 8.9mm and weigh 153 grams. The available colors are Gold, Silver and Grey.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Release Date: Less Powerful Version Also In The Pipeline
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 may also feature a less powerful version, with a 5-inch 720p LCD display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi 4A, the second smartphone is said to run on a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset, and features a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera.
It is said to measure 139.9 x 70.4 x 8.5mm and weighs 140 grams. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A may have a 3000mAh or 3030mAh battery and arrive in Gold and Rose Gold.
GSM Arena noted that the Xiaomi Redmi 4 is an upgrade from the Xiaomi Redmi S3, which featured a 5-inch display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, a Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear shooter and a 4100mAh battery. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is said to be priced at under $200 upon launch.
