iPad Pro 2 Release Date, Specs, Features, News & Update: Improved Apple Pencil, Better Camera Specifications Expected; Tablet Coming in March 2017?

Following Apple's big September event, another one followed on Oct. 27, which introduced the hotly anticipated MacBook Pro 2016. But noticeably missing from the list of rumored updated products is the new iPad Pro. Everyone had hoped for an iPad Pro 2 to debut in one of Apple's recent launch event, but it didn't happen at all.

With the year coming to a close and official updates on iPad Pro 2 are scarce, it is widely believed that an updated version of the Pro tablet should come out in March 2017. iPad Pro 2 is rumored to take the spotlight in Apple's keynote event in March since the original iPad Pro was also released in the same month this year. It is also said that iPad Pro 2 will share the stage with a new version of the iPad Air by then, but that too, remains uncertain.

There hasn't been a shortage of rumors when it comes to iPad Pro 2's specs and features, especially since all eyes are now focused on the upcoming iteration. According to PC Advisor, the latest iPad Pro model, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, could come with an improved optional stylus, the Apple Pencil. The Cupertino-based tech giant is reportedly working on providing the tablet better support for this optional accessory.

It is also expected that the iPad Pro 2 will carry better camera specs compared to the original 12.9-inch version of iPad Pro. This means that the updated version will at least have similar camera specs as the 9.7-inch variant, such as a 5-megapixel selfie camera and a 12-megapixel rear-facing main camera. It is also expected that the 4K video, Live Photos and a True Tone display will be retained.

PC Advisor also mentioned in its report that the device might not even be called iPad Pro 2, but rather the "new iPad Pro." Although just a speculation, this is possible since Apple has used such naming convention in previous products. For now, there's still no official confirmation as to what the upcoming iPad Pro version can bring to the table. Fans should just stay tuned to GamenGuide for more updates.
