'Gran Turismo 6' Appears Again In Italy: Arriving On Nov. 28? [LEAKS]

The next Gran Turismo game — Gran Turismo 6 — from Polyphony Digital has been spotted again on Multiplayer.com,  an online Italian retailer, which says that the game could be set for a Nov. 28 release date for PlayStation 3.

This is the second big leak for the same title within a week. The last time the game was in the news was when it appeared as a listing on the digital retailer Newegg.

Compared to the previous Newegg listing, the Italy-based multiplayer.com has more information about the title. For starters, the listing says that the game will be released on Nov. 28, along with a picture of the box art.

Although it might just be a placeholder, the art looks legit and may well be the final one for the game before the publishers see fit to release it.

However, the Nov. 28 release date puts it in the same timeframe as that of the speculated release of PlayStation 4.  The console, as of now, is supposed to be released in the 2013 Holiday season.

Moreover, Gran Turismo 6 could also be the last major release for Sony's current generation console because it's not that easy to port the game to PS4 (owing to its different hardware build).

Gran Turismo 6 has been in the news after a Sony executive accidentally revealed the game would be released for the PS3 but not for the PS4 in an interview.

"Look at the games coming out on the PlayStation 3 like The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, GT6, and then on the third-party side of things another fantastic Assassin's Creed, GTA," Sony Worldwide Studios boss Michael Denny stated at that time. "It's important for our content to have that kind of longevity because, as I was saying [about the PS Vita], the games that come through are going to get better and better over time."

The last title in the franchise Gran Turismo 5 was released back in November 2010 and was better known as the game that featured WRC (World Rally Championship), NASCAR and Super GT licenses for the first time in the series.

By September 2012, Sony had managed to ship 9.19 million units of the game, becoming the best-selling PS3 exclusive in Europe.
