“Grand Theft Auto 6” Release Date, Latest News & Update: Countdown Beings After ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’

Rockstar Games continues to keep “Grand Theft Auto 6” fans at bay with most wanting to know where a sixth installment will come out in the open. The earliest possible time has been pegged at 2020 with the gaming company focusing on “Red Dead Redemption 2” set for the Fall of 2017.

That target date of release for “Grand Theft Auto 6” refers to the sequence of releases of installments done by Rockstar Games. Once “Red Dead Redemption 2” is out of the way next year, they have more than enough time to work on the sixth offering, as mentioned in a previous post.

The good news here is that “Grand Theft Auto 6” has not been totally killed. Given that the “GTA” series has been doing great, the only point of debate right now is when it will actually happen.

“Grand Theft Auto 5” and “GTA Online” are likely to suffice for now, though most may want to keep the storylines in mind since it will likely be carried on to “Grand Theft Auto 6”. Looking forward, the belief is that the game setting for "GTA 6" will most likely be done in Texas, Neurogadget reported.

Despite dishes that “Grand Theft Auto 6” may go off key by employing a different storyline, it may not be the case. Changes will occur but it is believed to be covering mostly the storyline rather than changing the game entirely.

Characters for “Grand Theft Auto 6” are still unknown and previous rumors have suggested the addition of a female protagonist. Aside from that, it remains to be seen which characters will be inserted for the next "GTA" offering.

With a long way to go until 2020, the best thing to do is for players to keep on playing "GTA 5" and probably see what “Red Dead Redemption 2” will have to offer. Could the features on the “Red Dead Redemption” sequel offer a glimpse into “Grand Theft Auto 6”?
