Square Enix's "Kingdom Hearts 3" doesn't have a release date attached to it yet, but some awesome merchandise are arriving this January 2017. In fact, it's the same set of merch that offers new story details about "Kingdom Hearts 3."

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, Play Arts' Kai Sora action figure box offers new story details about "Kingdom Hearts 3." The upcoming action RPG from Square Enix doesn't have a release date yet. The action figures, however, are arriving this January 30, 2017.

A lucky fan has taken to Twitter to share how the "Kingdom Hearts 3" Play Arts Kai Sora action figure box offers new story details. The packaging tells of young Sora, who has grown into a "dashing young man" and has learned of his mission to gather the seven guardians of light. These guardians are Riku and King Mickey, who are tasks to find the Keyblade weilder, while Sora will go with Donal and Goofy to find "the Key to Return Hearts."

Fans of "Kingdom Hearts 3" would also be glad to know that Sora, together with his friends, are tasked to battle Master Xehanort and prevent him from starting another Keyblade War. The Play Arts Kai Sora action figure box offers new story details and can be found on Twitter. Check out the photo below.

Gematsu reports that "Kingdom Hearts 3" is still currently in development. Square Enix is keeping mum on a release date, but some fans are speculating a 2017 announcement. "Kingdom Hearts 3" is directed by Tetsuya Nomura and Tai Yasue, and will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. It is the first in its series to use the Unreal Engine 4.
