Markus "Notch" Persson, the creator of the hugely popular Minecraft, just released his latest game and it's nothing at all like Minecraft. Also, it's free.
It's called Drop and you play it in your browser. As a hypnotic shape swirls endlessly, you type the words that show up on screen. It's as if Super Hexagon met Typing of the Dead. And it's surprisingly fun and relaxing in a tense kind of way. You can play it here. Below is a video of someone getting a score of 18,226. Once you play it you'll realize just how impressive a feat that is.
