‘Fallout 4’ PS4 Mod Latest News, Release Date & Update: Support Limited but Welcome; Players May Create, Modify Content Via Creation Kit?

Reports state that the latest "Fallout 4" update will be released this month and it will bring mod support to all PS4 owners. The news was initially made public by game developer Bethesda Studios via a tweet. Xbox One and PC users already have mod support for the game. Thus, PS4 owners are at the top of the world now.

However, the PS4 mod support will be a lot limited compared to other platforms. Same type of mod support as that fro Xbox One and PC should not be expected for PS4. The mod would support up to 1GB of storage for starters. Unfortunately, "Fallout 4" PS4 users won't also be able to use external assets.

Thus, custom sound, custom models and scripts are out of question. Still, the PS4 mod support is a good thing as it almost got cancelled earlier. After all, something is better than nothing. Modders may visit the Bethesda.net launcher so as to update the Creation Kit for PS4 mods. The "Fallout 4" Creation Kit has been updated by Bethesda.

PS4 mods are plug-ins only and do not permit archives. The PS4 mods for "Fallout 4" were expected for a long time, especially after "Skyrim" Special Edition was released on Xbox One and PS4. Mods on the PS4 will allow players to create and modify their own content using the Creation Kit, writes Express.

"You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do," Bethesda stated. Bethesda has also released a brand new "Fallout 4" 1.8 update for PC users. The update is already live though for PS4 and Xbox One, it is still in certification, writes iDigital Times.
