MacBook Pro 2016 Latest News & Updates: Apple Preps For Massive Shipment Numbers Moving Towards 2017

The MacBook Pro 2016 drew mixed reactions, likely one reason why Apple was reserved heading into the last quarter of 2016. It seems that the Cupertino’s forecast has change with word that they are informing parts and component manufacturers of an impending shipment surge from Q4 2016 to 2017.

No more delays ahead for the MacBook Pro 2016?

Curiously, delayed shipments of the MacBook Pro 2016 were reportedly a result of low yield of parts and components that included hinges, batteries and keyboards. The landscape seems to have changed when the device was officially revealed last month, DigiTimes reported.

Following the release, market analysts see the MacBook Pro 2016 reaching 15 million units in 2016. Those figures are expected to stick until 2017, a reason why Apple has suddenly come out with new optimism and vigor, Mac Rumors reported.

The sudden splurge from Apple is despite divided takes on the MacBook Pro 2016. Some were disappointed with the features the notebook had to offer, a long overdue refresh many felt could have done better.

Though it did come with something new in the form of an OLED touch bar, many criticized the chipset and 16 GB RAM limit. Instead of the Kaby Lake processor, Apple still used the Intel Skylake chips which meant the latest powerful SoCs may not be fully stocked for now.

Is the MacBook Pro 2016 that in demand?

As mentioned in a previous post, the 16 GB RAM offer is something that has hindered the power requirements some folks are looking for with the MacBook Pro 2016. A reason tied up to that was to maintain energy-efficiency and prolong the device’s (battery) useful life.

From a different perspective, that also deprived power users of the needed push when it comes to the different things they plan to do with the MacBook Pro. Given those past dishes, it begs to ask where Apple has come up with a big forecast as far as the shipments for the MacBook Pro 2016 is concerned.
