'Conviction' News & Updates: No Additional Episodes For Hayley Atwell; "Agent Carter" Revival?

American Broadcasting Company, popularly known as ABC, has recently introduced an additional television drama series starring Hayley Atwell, entitled "Conviction". The said series has just been premiered last October 3, 2016 .

"Conviction", is an American legal drama television, where a brilliant and former First Daughter is blackmailed to heading a unit that investigates cases of wrongful conviction.

Hayley Atwell, starring in "Conviction", is famous for her role as "Peggy Carter" in a television series "Agent Carter" of which garnered high rates for viewers compared to "Conviction".

Deadline has reported that, ABC has chosen not to order additional episodes of "Conviction" beyond the initial order of 13 episodes but luckily the series will not be pulled from its schedule, giving way to finish its remaining episodes.

The Hollywood Reporter also mentioned that the show opened to a disappointing 0.9 rating among adults 18-49. It ranked the lowest-rated series premiere and was down 17 percent from last season's time slot occupant, the since-canceled Castle.

As The Hollywood Reporter's chief critic Tim Goodman, calls the series to be "a law so paint-by-numbers it's like everybody gave up halfway through and added terrible colors out of boredom."

Considering the under-performing rate of "Conviction", fans of " Agent Carter" will undoubtedly wonder if ABC would consider reviving the third season. As it can be remembered that in the wake of its cancellation a group of vocal fans have launched a petition garnering for over 127,000 signatures.

Will ABC consider reviving "Agent Carter" instead?
