Watch Dogs: Six Minutes Of Gameplay Footage Shows Combat, Hacking, Shooting, And Car Chase [VIDEO]

UPDATE: The original video has been removed from YouTube. We've got one up from CVG.

A six-minute long new gameplay video has emerged for Ubisoft's cross-gen open world game Watch Dogs showing the protagonist Aiden Pearce infiltrating enemy outposts, purchasing weapons and using more of his futuristic hacking tech. The edited gameplay footage has been posted on YouTube channel GamesHQMedia.

Watch Dogs, coming to both current and next generation consoles, is one of the most graphically-stunning games in development right now. The game takes place in the present day; however, the present day in the game is a lot more futuristic, better connected than today's reality. As the video showcases, the game's protagonist Pearce has the ability to hack just about any and everything around him, gain information from anyone and access everything.

The gameplay gives a detailed commentary-free look at Pearce' use of the near-future Chicago environment. The game revolves heavily on the main character's cell phone with which he constantly to do things like hack into a security infrastructure and more.

According to a note on the demo video, the game is running on a PC that has "the power of next-gen consoles", while being controlled via an Xbox 360 controller. So, the high-level graphics will be available for those playing the game on next-gen consoles or the PC, but not on Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii U.

Talking to Polygon, Watch Dogs senior producer Dominic Guay says the game plays on society's voyeuristic tendencies, the nuanced moral choices we make and our desire to affect game worlds. "The question we asked ourselves was, 'What if we had control over all these things? What could we do with it? What are the flaws of having such a connected system? How could it be used?" Guay says. "We're giving that control to the player and we're letting them answer it for themselves."

Watch Dogs will launch in North America on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and Windows PC on Nov.19. The game will be available for PS4 version and the publisher Ubisoft had previously hinted that the game will also be released on the yet to be revealed new Xbox console.
