'NBA 2K17' Latest News, Player Updates and Roster: Steve Nash Added to Game's Squad

A recent update on the "NBA 2K17" has added big-time players in the roster that gamers can play. Previously, the game lacked experienced NBA players which many were looking for.

Fans of the game noticed that a lot of basketball superstars were missing in the "NBA 2K17" when it was released last September 20, 2016. In response to the player request and comments, 2K Sports added one of NBA's greatest players, Steve Nash.

Nash added to two previous teams

The former Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks player is the newest addition to the 2002-2003 roster of the Mavs and the 2004-2005 squad of the Suns. The game developer explained that since Nash is already retired from the NBA, adding him to "NBA 2K17" required a licensing agreement that took time to be finalized.

In an announcement, the team behind "NBA 2K17" also asked players about the favorite memory they have of Steve Nash playing in the NBA. The 42-year-old point guard started playing in the NBA during the 1996-97 season. He averaged 14.3 points per game in his entire career.

More NBA players expected

Aside from Steve Nash, "NBA 2K17" gamers are still hoping more superstar players will be added in the title's roster. Some of the names that came up for the instalment were Reggie Miller and Rasheed Wallace.

There is still a possibility that these players will be added in the squads of "NBA 2K17" but negotiations for their inclusion may take time. 2K Sports will also need to work on adding them to the game after talks are finalized.

Now, "NBA 2K17" gamers can enjoy playing Steve Nash's character first as they await if there will be additional superstar players to be added on the roster. Who are the big NBA players you want added on the "NBA 2K17" roster?
