What Are The Biggest Problems In Gaming? There's A Kickstarter For That

British gaming publication Einfo Games announced the launching of a Kickstarter campaign to help fund a documentary that will attempt to involve the entire gaming community entitled PGI14(Project Games Industry 14).

The documentary will have everyone ranging from gamers to developers highlight problems within the industry that they think need improvement.

"We have seen so many blogs, press realses [releases] and other content addressing one or two issues here and there, but now we want to sit down and find out exactly what the top 5 problems on a global scale are," Einfo Games says in a statement. Given that it is hard to find unanimity on anything gaming related on a message board, let alone around the world, it will be interesting to see which problems they decide to highlight.

Einfo Games' second goal with PGI14 is to provide work experience along with helping people who seek a career in the media industry.

Funding through the publication's Kickstarter campaign will go toward equipment, production costs and traveling to various cities. Once funding goals are met, any additional money will go toward adding more cities in order to "hear from as many people as possible."

Once the 30 day funding period has finished, Einfo Games will begin the first stage. The first stage will involve a survey with open questions that will be available on the publication's website for 30 days. The survey question will ask "What do you want improved by 2014?"

The most re-Tweeted answers sent to PGI14's official Twitter will be added to the film with the contributor's Twitter handle. Making a video response is also encouraged and the best ones posted to Einfo Games Youtube channel will be included in the film.

Those results will be calculated in order to form a top ten list which will lead to the top five being addressed within the documentary. Two topics will be added to the top ten results for high pledgers of the Kickstarter campaign.

Anyone involved in production of PGI14 will receive credit on the final product.

"We want to make sure that everyone is involved and this documentary is made by a large community of passionate gamers and gaming enthusiasts," Einfo Games on their website.
