"Minecraft" has been known among players for allowing them to build whatever they want using the game's various blocks. It's largely open-ended, which is great for those who are completely satisfied with the merely building. The newest update makes a change that impacts the other kind of "Minecraft" player, though.
A new patch is coming soon for "Minecraft," reports Tech Radar. It's going to add the Ender Dragon final battle to the Windows 10 and Pocket versions, in a concept that's only been in the original version of the game until now. The patch will introduce the very last dimension of the End to those platforms, the little patch of abyss and darkness where the Ender Dragon lives and waits for all players.
Even though the Windows 10 and Pocket versions of "Minecraft" is getting a final boss, like most open-ended games, players can still keep playing and build their structures after they beat the Ender Dragon, reports Mojang. In fact, players can even build higher buildings once the patch hits, as the update is also going to increase the game world's maximum height to 256 blocks.
The increased game world height is also going to be important when you consider that players will also be able to fly around using the brand new Elytra. The Elytra is a pair of wings that allow you to fly around the "Minecraft" world, but it's unsure yet as to whether there's any mechanical need to do so.
This "Minecraft" update has no specific release date; the only confirmation is that it will definitely be arriving before the year ends. The Windows 10 version of the game also now supports virtual reality headsets, so if you have a VR unit, you can now immerse yourself in the actual block-building experience.
