Where To Buy Snapchat's Spectacle? Here's What We Know So Far

Snap Inc. brought its trendy video-recording glasses available to the public just recently. Yesterday, Spectacles are sold and can be purchased in vending machines called "Snapbots." The yellow-pop up machine is located near the company's original headquarters in Venice, California.

The glasses packaged in a clear tube, holds the recharging case, a USB Cable charger, cleaning cloth cut in a fun shape and the glasses itself. Spectacles are available in three different colors namely: black, teal and coral. Snapchat's first hardware product can be bought at $129.

Spectacles Available In Trendy Vending Machines Scattered Across U.S.

According to CNET, the one size fits all pair of sunglasses can record 10 seconds of video at a time and sync wirelessly with the mobile Snapchat app.  The company plans to deposit the machines throughout the U.S. The machines will only remain in one location for a day before being removed. Snapchat said it will announce the new Snapbot locations 24 hours before they appear, via the "Find a Bot" map that can be accessed on the Sepctacles website, Recode reported.

In the vending machine, customers press one of the circular buttons and try on their chosen color of sunglasses, after which they must insert a debit or credit card to purchase. After 10 seconds, the Snapbot lights up and the spectacles are dispensed along with a receipt.

The company developed Spectacles for years and now that it's officially out, filming your favorite concert or festival wouldn't be that hard anymore. Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel said that Spectacles are fun and trendy glasses designed to fit every lifestyle. Whether you plan to record your baby's milestones, the latest gossip or your favorite band, Snapchat is the glasses you typically might want to snag.
