Last April of 2015, the Telltale company announced the development of a video game based on the Marvel movie "Guardians of the Galaxy". The game is expected to be released in 2017.
Members of the voice acting union, Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), released a list of games. Among the list is a game entitled "Guardians of the Galaxy: The Video Game" also known as the "Blue Harvest." The game is attributed to O'Ferrell Enterprises, LLC.
The Marvel Studio first release the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" which received different comments from the viewers. Reports say that Marvel's new video game is currently in development under the Telltale company who also created the recent "Batman" and "Walking Dead" video games.
As of now, the platform of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" video game is still unknown. It could be a simple mobile game or even a high quality console game. There are also no details about its game-type, whether it's an arcade, action, or a puzzle game, but since the Telltale is known for its choose-your-own-adventure type of gaming, this game might eventually adopt this style. Telltale and Marvel Studio are still silent about this issue. Somehow, rumors and expectation say this game is interesting and has a higher chance of success like the Telltale's previous games.
The TellTale Games first signed a deal with Marvel Entertainment last year. The first entry for the franchise is the "Guardians of the Galaxy Video Game: Blue Harvest" was scheduled to be released in 2017. Telltale's previous famous games are "The Walking Dead", "Batman", "Game of Thrones" and "Borderlands". These games are known for being dark and realistic.
The upcoming sequel of the original movie "Guardian of the Galaxy Volume 2" willbe released on May 5, 2017. All recent properties of the Telltale Games have been released on iOS, Win, Android, OS X, as well as gaming systems like Xbox360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. This might be the first time that "Guardians of the Galaxy" gets their very own console game.
