‘God of War’ 4 Release Date, News & Details: Sony Santa Monica Sees 2018 as Possible Launching?

Fans of "God of War" 4 may have to wait a little bit more before they can get a hold of the all new sequel to the series. While Sony has not released an official statement about the final release date of the title, spoilers ahead of its launching are already circulating online. The Greek mythology themed videogame might just feature some new set of antagonist on the series.

In a recent report by the PH, creative director Cory Barlog might just give the main character Kratos some new challenges in the form of more viscous enemies in the game. The idea came as Kratos will evolve from being the the Greek era to the Norse mythology. Reports also revealed that, the main challenge in the new "God of War" 4 will be Kratos' inability to start a new beginning in the Norse, hence the fight to provide a peaceful place for his wife and son.

During the E3 2016 event, an apparent introduction of what Kratos enemies will look like in "God of War" 4 was also featured. Fans who were not able to see the trailer, it featured a scaly monster that greatly resembled a snake. Fans who were able to spot the new creatures believe, they are the new Midgard Serpent.

The Midgard Serpent in "God of War" 4 is a big part of the Norse mythology. In fact, looking through how the Norse and Greek mythology evolved, the Midgard Serpent is a trademark that separates the era. Despite the rumors of the upcoming "God of War," it looks like the game will not have any playable game demo at the upcoming PSX 2016.

For the hardcore fans of "God of War" 4, you may check the PSX 2016 for more news and update about the game. Who knows, Sony is up to some big surprises at the event?
