Call of Duty: Ghosts Will Happen In Venezuela: Hints Toward Arms Trade Industry [LEAK]

Infinity Ward has posted a number of short messages on the official site of the company’s upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts title which hints at a number of things we might get to see once the game is made final for retail.

The developer has provided two new sets of number codes and a set of words on the site’s page, which offer a few clues to the setting and theme of the game. For starters, the numbers 10.480891, -66.903648 are actually coordinates that point towards Venezuela.

Dig a bit deeper and you will find out that if you put these coordinates in Google Maps, it shows Caracas. It also makes sense if Infinity Ward wants the setting of its next game to be in Venezuela, owing to the fact that both Venezuela and Caracas have a hard time dealing with the rising number of crimes in the area.

“The number of victims was up by 12 per cent from last year when there were 19,336 deaths, the Venezuelan Violence Observatory said in its annual report,” wrote The Telegraph back in December last year. “But according to the Observatory, a think tank set up by public and private universities, it now has a murder rate of 73 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 67 in 2011.”

A perfect setting for a Call of Duty game? Probably.

The second number code may seem like a random number, but according to MP1st reader TOROi3, “183.84 is the atomic mass of Tungsten. The chemical element is being used in the arms industry and could also theoretically be used for kinetic orbital strikes with the same destructive force as a tactical nuclear weapon.”

The third image simply states: “You start to forget…The things you should remember. And you can’t stop remembering the things you should forget.”

In addition, Infinity Ward posted a Vine showing some of the game in development.

A full reveal for Call of Duty: Ghosts is set to arrive at the upcoming Xbox event on May 21. Ghosts will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U and Xbox 360.
