New Gran Turismo 6 Concept Video Hits Web; More Cars And Tracks Revealed [VIDEO]

A new Gran Tursmo 6 concept video has arrived following last week's unveiling of the game, showing off a new set of cars and tracks.

The concept footage, on AllGamesBeta, gives a clear picture about the visual styles expected from the new installment of the world's most popular console-racing franchise. It shows several different cars including the Tesla Model S and the iconic Audi Quattro and a range of tracks and environments including Silverstone. The level of graphic details shown in the concept video makes one to think the game will push PlayStation 3 to the very limit of its capabilities.

Gran Tursmo 6 will be released this holiday season on the PS3 and will most likely hit the PS4 in the near future. GT6 will include 33 locations, 1,200 vehicles and a new course maker. The new installment will retain all the cars and tracks from Gran Turismo 5.

"Things have changed a lot since then and now Gran Turismo 6 is a further evolution of my dream. We're pleased to deliver GT6 to PlayStation 3 as we have a very loyal community on that platform. However, we have refactored the game to make it very flexible and expandable, with a view to making many future developments. I am very pleased with everything about the new game and the new additions, but the launch will be only the beginning for GT6. The game will continue to develop throughout its life. I already have many ideas for things I want to achieve in the next 15 years of Gran Turismo," creator Kazunori Yamauchi said during the game's announcement at Silverstone Circuit in the U.K.

Yamauchi also indicated that the newest GT title could eventually arrive on the PS4 as well. "We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version in mind, but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on PS3 for now," he said during an interview with IGN at the GT6 event. "I thought the best scenario would be to have the game come out, then to have new scenarios, new DLC and other updates. Once the players have thoroughly played out the system, if the PlayStation 4 version came out naturally, as part of that process, I think that would be the best scenario," he explained.
