The big day for Microsoft's next generation Xbox is here and gaming enthusiasts will finally get to see the console that would combat the rival PlayStation 4. While Acitivision's Call of Duty: Ghosts continues to be the core highlight, EA is going to have a heavy presence at the event as well with the next generation of FIFA, in the form of FIFA 14 and the next UFC title confirmed to make appearances.
FIFA fans were greeted with a new poster on EA Sports' official Facebook page inviting them to "see the next generation of FIFA" at the Microsoft next-gen Xbox reveal event. The poster shows FC Barcelona striker and Argentine footballer Lionel Andrés Messi wearing the No. 10 Barca jersey. The announcement would bring cheers to the fans of EA's soccer franchise who were expecting a glimpse of the game at the PS4 reveal event in February. As FIFA 14 goes next-gen with Xbox 720 and PS4, the game is also expected to come out on the other platforms, just as its previous version, including 3DS, PSP, PS2, Wii and Wii U in addition to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Meanwhile, the publisher has also announced that the next UFC title will be revealed at the Xbox event. EA Sports, who acquired the UFC license after THQ was faced with serious financial troubles, released a teaser poster on its Facebook/Twitter pages suggesting that news on the franchise will be shared at the event. "Re-tweet if you're pumped for the first news of @EASPORTSUFC coming tomorrow," EA's tweet says.
