NBA Trade Deadline Rumor: Anthony Davis To The Boston Celtics For Al Horford

There was a time that Anthony Davis was predicted to take over the National Basketball Association with his pure potential. After a playing for four years for the New Orleans Pelicans, he is now facing the reality that his talents will have to flourish elsewhere.

Owning one of the fattest contracts in the NBA, only a few teams could bid to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans and one of them could be the Boston Celtics who will need to dangle Al Horford for a one-to-one trade.

Al Horford's contract is very similar to Anthony Davis, is currently underperforming for the Boston Celtics, thus suffering an early injury. The attempt to form a big three combination of Kevin Durant, Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford during the off-season did not materialize and now, the Boston Celtics is in need of the additional scoring punch that was supposed to be filled up by Kevin Durant.

Acquiring Anthony Davis would definitely fill up the needs of the Boston Celtics but the trade would seem lopsided and the Boston Celtics might add up a few draft picks or another player to add up to the trade.

Anthony Davis also expressed that he shown jealousy on how the Boston Celtics played and he would like the New Orleans Pelicans to play like them.  "We want to be kind of like how Boston was last year: not having a lot of talent, but them guys play hard," Davis said.

For now, the trade between the two teams would seem unlikely but as time goes by while the New Orleans Pelicans are still trying to find the tools to build the team around Anthony Davis, it could be in due time before the potential flag bearer of the NBA could demand for a better situation for his talents.

Anthony Davis wearing a different uniform in the future should be no surprise at all.
