WWE Rumors: Conor McGregor To appear In Wrestlemania According To Jim Ross

With Conor McGregor becoming the first ever two division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship after beating Eddie Alvarez in UFC 205, he is now courted by the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to make an appearance in Wrestlemania.

As the master of hype in the world of MMA, Conor McGregor had poked fun over the years to WWE athletes and calling them names. This even resulted to a twitter war between Conor McGregor and some of the WWE athletes.

In the past, WWE has always tried to lure big names in other industries such as boxing and MMA to gain more attention. To date, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather and Ronda Rousey made an appearance in the WWE. Mike Tyson was even honored by the WWE by letting him enter the Hall of Fame.

Jim Ross expressed that in order for the WWE to lure Conor McGregor to appear, it would take a huge amount of money to make it possible.

"McGregor is the "King of the World" right now and would likely be on top of  WWE's 'hit list' to be a future Wrestlemania celeb participant. He'd likely cost them "Tyson Money" to get the deal done but it's obvious that the talented Irishman is a businessman who covets the big money. Nothing wrong with that by the way, Plus, Conor sells tickets and PPV's," said Jim Ross via Wrestlezone.com

To add to that, he also agrees that Connor McGregor would make the appearance in Wrestlemania but it would take a brand split to make it happen.

"Much like the brand split, I think that it will be April 2 in Orlando at Wrestlemania before we can truly and intelligently evaluate the success, or not, of that venture. When we see what each brand donates to the WM33 card, we will be better suited to declare our thoughts on the brand separation....at least that's my two cents."
