GTA 6' Delayed Rumors Not True? Game To Be Released On 2018

Despite rumors that "GTA 6" is slated for release on 2020, discussions on Reddit claim that delayed rumors are not true and the upcoming "GTA" installment will be available on 2018. Rocket Games has yet to comment on the issue but Reddit users provide an explanation for their prediction.

Based on the released dates of "GTA" in the past, Rockstar Games usually takes 5 years to finish each installment. Grand Theft Auto 4" was made available in 2008 which was followed by "GTA 5" in 2013. So this means that "GTA 6" will more or less come out in 2018. If ever the game will be delayed, it is assumed that it can go as far as 2019 but 2020 is just too long.

In the "GTA 6" Reddit thread, more theories and speculations were shared by avid players. Some think it could be as early as 2019 while other believe it could go as far as 2023. However, these predictions were not supported with a legit explanation so their predictions were not at all considered.

What makes the 2018 prediction very interesting is that many users actually supports it. The explanation made sense and many assume that 5 years is enough time to create a good expansion pack for a game. Moreover, developers of "GTA" is reported to have come up with a method how to make the creation of the game faster which means delays reported earlier are no longer valid.

It can be remembered that the cause of the delay for "GTA 6" is the game developers being too busy and prioritizing "Red Dead Redemption 2". In other reports, "GTA 6" is said to be considering to release the game when new consoles have been released. If this is true, this could be the reason why delays have been speculated for the game's release. However, many believes that an additional 2 years is too much time to recode the game and make it compatible to the new console.
