HTC Bolt News & Updates: Sprint Exclusively Launches Smartphone; Global Version HTC 10 Evo To Arrive Soon?

The HTC Bolt recently became exclusively available on Sprint in the United States. News of the HTC Bolt leaked earlier in 2016, which was believed to be an upgrade of the HTC 10.

HTC.com reported that the HTC Bolt featured a 5.5-inch Super-LCD3 display with Quad HD resolution, Snapdragon 810 octa-core chipset with X10 LTE modem, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, It also has a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel front shooter and 3200mAh battery. World-class sprinter Usain Bolt was featured by the company to promote the new product.

In terms of design, the HTC Bolt is made of glass and metal and is the first water-resistant aluminum unibody Android phone. The phone also brings more precise contours, a flatter back for sharper contrast that catches light in the most beautiful way.

The HTC Bolt also has bold chamfered edges that are carved out of Gunmetal or Glacier metal to create the 3.7mm side cut appear and feel slimmer than before. The HTC Bolt also introduces the HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio earphones that adjust sound according to the unique structure of the ears to offer a personal audio experience.

HTC also stated that the HTC Bolt was inspired by speed and is claimed to be the fastest Sprint smartphone. The device was built for the Sprint LTE Plus network with 3x20 MHz Carrier Aggregation support via the Qualcomm Snapdragon X10 LTE modem. The company claims that the HTC Bolt features smooth internet activities and fast online gaming.

According to Neowin, the adjustments in the HTC Bolt could hardly qualify it as a better version of the HTC 10. However, the smartphone features IP67 water and dust proofing and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

The HTC Bolt also comes with USB-C headphones. The HTC Bolt is being offered by Sprint at $25 per month for a two-year contract. It is still uncertain whether the HTC Bolt will be available outside the U.S.

One leakster suggested that the global version of the HTC Bolt, dubbed the HTC 10 evo, may be released in the near future, although the specifications are still unknown. More updates and details on the HTC Bolt are expected soon.
