'Mortal Kombat X' News & Update: Kombat Pack 3 DLC Delayed as NetherRealm Studios Favors 'Injustice 2; When Is It Coming?

"Mortal Kombat X" was supposed to have received its DLC called the Kombat Pack 3, a long time ago. However, this is not happening and observers say this is because of another game "Injustice 2."

Many alleged that game creator NetherRealm Studios is focusing too much on its newest game so it lacks the time to plan and produce the DLC for "Mortal Kombat X." Now, since "Injustice 2" has been scheduled for release in 2017, further delays on MK's update is expected.

For years, "Mortal Kombat X" is considered as one of the best fighting video games out there, with huge followers worldwide. It is the tenth installment in the series and has been around for more than a year. So far, the game received two major DLCs and an upgrade for PS4 and Xbox One.

The upgraded edition of "Mortal Kombat X" is known as "Mortal Kombat XL" and it was launched on March 1, 2016. "MKXL" was given character DLC and it received a few patch notes since its release. The PC version hits the market on Oct. 4, 2016.

In any case, sources relayed that the "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 offers added characters including Sindel, Rain, Fujin, Noob Saibot and Baraka. This update may come to game in March 2017 or pushed all the way to 2018.

Meanwhile, "Mortal Kombat X" helped improved "Injustice 2" visuals as the upcoming game will now run on the same MKX engine, a software app that creates awesome graphics. Designers of "Injustice 2" agree that the said engine did a great job in upgading the game's facade.

NetherRealm Studios stated that "Injustice 2" now features many improved visual effects, thanks to "Mortal Kombat X" engine. Lastly, the use of the said software created a more detailed characters and visual effects that cannot be compared to the previous Injustice game.
