'Battlefield 1' News & Updates: Very Huge Fall Update Now Available; Find Out More Here!

"Battlefield 1" fans are in for a good treat today that is if they haven't seen it yet. EA and DICE have just put out the first huge update for the game, right in time for the winter, and there are a lot of gameplay and balance changes in this one.

A big change is coming to the Operations Mode of "Battlefield 1," GameSpot reports. This particular multiplayer mode, which is similar to many team capture formats, including that of Blizzard's "Overwatch," sees the attacking side lose too much. The major improvement involves reducing the time for the attacking team to capture flags, allowing them to score more captures as necessary.

Another multiplayer mode has been fixed as well, among other big changes. The Suez map in "Battlefield 1" Conquest mode has also been updated, adding two more capture flags to make for a longer game and reducing the size of the capture areas. What happened was the map's original three-map setup allowed teams to capture the flags too easily and the big capture areas made it harder for teams who were pushed out to re-capture them. An armored car has also been added to Suez for extra balance.

Other inclusions in the new "Battlefield 1" patch involve more customization options for your character, especially inside a match. Different weapons, gadgets and vehicles in the game have been tweaked a bit as well to allow for more dynamic gameplay with them. That's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the fixes.

The "Battlefield 1" patch, which is around 2.2 GB in size, should be up now after a quick maintenance period on the servers today. It's definitely up and running now as you read this. For the full list of patch notes for the big update, check out the official "Battlefield 1" Forums.
